Martin Benning, MHA, FACHE currently holds the position of chief operating officer of the Physician Services division at Providence Health and Services based out of Renton, Washington. Providence is a western United States healthcare delivery system with 34 hospitals, 700 ambulatory locations, over 5000 employed providers and 75,000 employees. In his role he works with the employed provider groups across the five states Providence and its’ affiliates serve. Prior to his role at Providence he was the administrative director at Swedish Medical Group, which became affiliated with Providence in 2013. Over his 15 year career he has held other leadership roles in ambulatory and acute delivery systems. He received his bachelor’s degree as well as his masters in healthcare administration from the University of Washington. Additionally, has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2003 and earned his Fellow status in 2008. He has been recognized with multiple awards in healthcare and business leadership such as the ACHE Distinguished Service award in 2014; Puget Sound Business Journal 40 under 40 award in 2013; ACHE Service Award in 2008 and the ACHE Regents Award in 2007. Martin is committed to advancing healthcare in the United States by improving patient access to the delivery system; enabling providers to give exceptional care and transforming delivery models for healthcare consumers of the future.
