Marta Pérez Drake

With over three decades of experience advocating for higher education, Marta Pérez Drake has been a key figure at AACTE since January 2023, where she serves as chief operating officer (COO). In this role, Marta oversees the Association’s internal operations. Before joining AACTE, she spent 15 years as senior vice president at the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). She has held roles at Duke University, Georgetown University, and other higher education associations. Drake’s academic achievements include a BA from Duke University, an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is completing her doctoral dissertation in organizational communication at George Mason University. She lives in Denver, CO, with her husband and their rescue dogs, Rita, and Jet.
