Mark Roesler, Esq. attended DePauw University, Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, and the Indiana University Graduate School of Business. He has held Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration degrees since 1981. Shortly after his formal education was complete, Roesler’s talents were secured to protect Norman Rockwell’s artwork with Curtis Publishing. Through his attentive efforts to protect the artwork, Roesler discovered that families of famous deceased personalities were in need of similar legal defenses to safeguard their loved ones’ names and likenesses. Today, through his company, CMG Worldwide, Roesler is internationally recognized as the world’s foremost authority on intellectual property rights involving celebrities, and is also credited with helping to establish guidelines that delegate the control of a celebrity’s image or likeness. CMG currently represents personalities such as Maya Angelou, Neil Armstrong, James Dean, Malcolm X, Ella Fitzgerald, Jackie Robinson, Bettie Page, and Chuck Berry.
