Marc Hendrikson recently joined Centennial Bank in Denver in November 2014 as senior vice president and commercial banker. Marc brings 27 years of diversified corporate lending, finance, and accounting experience to the Bank. Prior to joining Centennial, Marc spent 15 years with Citywide Banks as commercial lender, several years with Bank One (Chase) and two other Colorado banking organizations, where he served in several accounting, finance and commercial credit positions. Marc began his career with Bellco Credit Union in 1988 as a teller.
Marc graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Regis University in Denver in 1996 and went on to receive an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting, also from Regis in 2000. He currently maintains an active CPA license in the State of Colorado and is one of only two bankers nationwide who holds the credential, Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). Marc also recently obtained the new Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credential.
Marc currently serves as Chairman of the Board and ongoing instructor of accounting and banking related courses across Colorado for the Center for Financial Training, Western States, which is based in Denver. Marc also serves on numerous committees for the Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA), was past President of the Educational Foundation and is the immediate past Chair of the Society. Marc also serves as member of Council for the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and is actively involved in the profession at the national level, one of just a handful of bankers in this role.
Marc believes in going the extra mile for his business clients and enjoys coaching and educating them through the borrowing process to ensure the best possible fit. As a CPA, he speaks the language of business and enjoys analyzing their financial reporting models to assist them at the highest possible level.
Marc enjoys camping, golf and spending time with his family, which includes 6 children, 2 of whom are biological and grown, 3 younger adopted children and a baby he and his wife are currently fostering.
