Laura Adams

Laura Adams is Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer with Booz Allen Hamilton and is based in the firm's Washington, DC office. Ms. Adams has 25 years of finance and accounting specialty and transformation experience spanning across multiple industries worldwide. Her responsibilities include leading diverse talent across all areas of corporate finance including financial and treasury oversight and risk mitigation. She provides financial and business counsel to leadership and the Board of Directors on critical matters including capital deployment strategy, complex accounting and tax regulations and implementations, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and alliances, and enhanced forecasting and planning activities. She has demonstrated results-oriented solutions and outcomes while consistently possessing the recognition and respect of her colleagues, leadership, stakeholders and regulators as a collaborative, authentic, credible, diverse and strategic leader with unwavering Purpose and Values. Valued as a “strategic fixer”, she has led multiple transformation initiatives of people, processes and technology throughout diverse organizations and across multiple disciplines in creative and innovative ways that have yielded option value for the institution and its investors. Ms Adams also has led enterprise risk mitigation and enhanced quality assurance programs and successful implementations of technical, complex and firmwide initiatives that have yielded positive bottom line results and sustainability for the firm. Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Ms. Adams was a Senior Manager in the audit and assurance practice of Ernst & Young.
