Karin A. French is the national managing partner of International Standards for Grant Thornton LLP, based in the Tulsa office. She has over 25 years of work experience and is currently focused on international auditing standards and serves on the firm’s Extended Leadership Team.
French previously led a global project team revising the firm’s audit approach. Prior to spending two years as a global project leader, she was the national managing partner of Professional Standards, where she managed and led more than 70 professionals in the firm’s national Professional Standards Group, which provides timely information on current accounting, auditing, financial reporting, ethical and SEC developments to the firm’s personnel and clients. French formerly served as the assistant national managing partner of Professional Standards and the partner-in-charge of SEC and regulatory matters, focusing on SEC and PCAOB reporting and regulatory requirements affecting public companies. French previously served seven years as an assistant chief accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC.
