John R. Kroll is Associate Vice President for Finance at the University of Chicago. His responsibilities include seven major areas: University accounting, financial reporting, cash management, post award administration, payroll, accounts payable, and procurement. Kroll came to the University of Chicago from Deloitte & Touche, where he was primarily involved with accounting and auditing services for colleges and universities, other nonprofit organizations, and governmental units. He is a certified public accountant and past chair of NACUBO's Accounting Principles Council. Mr. Kroll is the recipient of NACUBO's Daniel D. Robinson Award and NACUBO's Professional Development Award for his contributions to higher education professional development activities and publications.
