Jim Brendel has over 30 years of public accounting experience and provides audit and accounting services for both public and private companies. He specializes in Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and consults with energy companies on SOX 404 compliance, joint interest audits, and other complex accounting issues. He regularly assists clients with transaction structuring, due diligence, and other services to support major transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements.
In addition to his experience in energy, Jim has developed a focus in the manufacturing and distribution, technology, and real estate industries. As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), he is often requested to serve as an expert witness and provide other litigation support services.
He is a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS), Colorado Technology Association, and serves on the board of directors of the Association for Corporate Growth.
