Jesse Trent Messick CPA

Trent is the managing partner over the Firm’s reimbursement group, is responsible for directing the group in serving clients and developing the group’s technical skills and capabilities. Trent has approximately 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry working with hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, rehabilitation agencies, and other healthcare entities. He has spent the past 16 years with Dixon Hughes Goodman as part of the healthcare consulting practice. His healthcare experience also includes financial accounting and budgeting for a large hospital system in North Carolina. Trent utilizes his extensive Medicare and Medicaid experience to serve healthcare clients in the areas of cost reports and related reimbursement engagements, appeals, feasibility studies, and reimbursement analysis. He is well-respected in the healthcare community and is frequently asked to speak at and/or serve on committees of various trade organizations and state hospital associations.  In addition, Trent has had the privilege to present at HFMA’s Annual National Institute for multiple years.
