Jeri began her career in the audit practice of KPMG LLP in 1986. She has over twenty eight years of audit and accounting experience. During her tenure with KPMG, she has served clients in the Financial Services industry, with her primary focus on banking and insurance and clients

Professional experience

In her current role in the US Capital Markets Group, Jeri’s primary responsibility is to perform filing reviews of cross border filings that will be filed in the US market. These filing reviews include initial public and secondary stock offerings, other registered and non-registered debt offerings, as well as annual reviews of existing cross border US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. As a filing review partner, she primarily serves clients in the financial services industry. Foreign filing reviews performed include many of the largest financial institutions in developing countries and emerging markets. Representative clients and location of KPMG foreign member firms for which filing reviews are performed include: ICICI Bank - India; Grupo Aval - Columbia; Prudential PLC - United Kingdom; Exim Bank- Korea; Banco do Brasil – Brazil; ANZ Banking Group – New Zealand; Banco Bradesco – Brasil; Banco do Bogata – Columbia; Banco de Costa Rica – Costa Rica; Nordea Bank – Sweden; Nordic Investment Bank – Finland; and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, Inc. - Japan

Other experience

She also worked in the US Department of Professional Practice (DPP) for a two year period. In the role as a Partner in DPP, her primary responsibility was to consult with KPMG engagement teams on accounting and SEC reporting issues, primarily dealing with business combinations, consolidations, stock compensation, revenue recognition and impairments, and to serve as a technical resource to the firm’s banking and insurance industry. She also monitored emerging accounting issues, including SEC, FASB, EITF, NAIC, IAS, and AcSEC standard setting, and developed interpretative guidance for clients and firm-wide distribution. Additionally, she frequently presented technical topics in speaking activities for organizations such as the SEC Institute, American Accounting Association and KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute as well as other programs organized by various law firms.
