Jennifer Fitzgerald joined Ryder Scott as a reservoir engineer in 2006 and was elected to the position of Senior Vice President in 2013. Mrs. Fitzgerald has worked numerous properties including conventional oil, tight gas, gas pressure depletion (normal and abnormal pressure), horizontal wells, shale gas and coal bed methane. Her geographic areas of experience include Permian Basin, Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico, South Texas, New Mexico, Horn River Basin in Canada, North Sea, Egypt, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia. Prior to joining Ryder Scott, Mrs. Fitzgerald was employed as a Staff Reservoir Engineer at ExxonMobil Corporation for five years.
Mrs. Fitzgerald earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi Honorary Societies. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. She is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
She has been a featured speaker at the Ryder Scott Reserves Conference in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 presenting on topics which include ethics and the SEC reserves definitions and guidelines. She also presented at the AICPA/PDI National Oil & Gas Reserves Conference in Denver in 2011 and 2012 and NAPAC in Dallas in 2012. She is active in the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and is currently serving as the Houston Chapter’s Chairman.
