Jason Jacobs

Jason Jacobs is a Partner with KPMG’s San Francisco Office where he is one of the firm’s leading technical resources with respect to financial instruments, derivatives, consolidations (including variable interest entities) and mortgage banking. Prior to returning to the San Francisco office Jason spent over 5 years in KPMG’s National Office, including a 2 year fellowship with the Financial Accounting Standards Board in Norwalk, Connecticut. During his fellowship, Jason was involved in various standard setting initiatives and was primarily responsible for issues relating to transfers of financial assets, derivatives, financial instruments, variable interest entities and banking.

Jason began his career with KPMG Australia and joined KPMG’s San Francisco office in 1999, where he primarily served audit clients in the financial services industry. Jason is a licensed CPA in California and New York and a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
