Janice Maiman is an award-winning strategic communications leader responsible for many ground-breaking, innovative programs that have inspired change and driven meaningful impact on reputation, stakeholder value and reach.
In her current role as EVP - Reputation and External Affairs, Janice is leading PR strategy and programs to strengthen the global reputation of the accounting profession during a period of massive transformation within and external to the organization. Her initiatives include driving organizational and stakeholder awareness of and alignment in actions to strengthen the professional and organizational purpose of Trust, Opportunity, and Prosperity. She oversees public affairs, advocacy and media strategies that positively influence the public profile, goals and mission of the Association and the global accounting profession,
In 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021, she was named one of PR News' Top Women in PR and was awarded induction into the PR News Hall of Fame. Under her leadership, the organization has received more than a thousand awards recognizing excellence in general communications, campaigns, multimedia, web design, PR, and creative services. Among her achievements are the creation of the accounting profession's national financial literacy programs and the Young CPA Network. Areas under her purview have included communications campaigns and PR strategies for all of the organization's strategic priorities and such functional areas of accountability as crisis communications, advocacy and legislative communications, brand and reputation management, public relations, media relations, CSR, international communications, member communications, advertising, magazines and news, creative services, internal communications, digital assets, and executive communications. She has also led DEI initiatives and oversaw an award-winning student recruitment and academic outreach program.
