Janet Graham has spent her entire career on Bay Street, the Canadian equivalent of Wall Street. She joined Price Waterhouse upon graduation from the MBA program at Toronto's York University and once she obtained her CPA, CA designation, she joined CIBC, one of the largest Canadian banks. At CIBC, Janet rose from Associate to Vice President of Real Estate Lending, one of the first ten women at CIBC to attain the position of Vice President and the first female lender to achieve this status. She spent the last three years of her time at CIBC working at Wood Gundy, its wholly-owned securities dealer where she worked in Investment Banking. When she left Wood Gundy in 1996, she built a consulting/advisory services business focused on real estate finance. Today, Janet is a Corporate Director/Trustee on the boards of Leisureworld Senior Care Corporation and Milestone Apartments Real Estate Investment Trust, both publicly-traded entities and the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation which is funded by the federal, provincial and city governments.
