
James Taylor
Deputy Chief, Nevada Gaming Control Board
James has been with the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s Enforcement Division since 1995. For over fourteen years he supervised the organized crime and intelligence units and was responsible for criminal, financial and intelligence investigations of organized crime activity and major casino cheating groups. In August 2012, he was promoted to Deputy Chief with responsibility over the Special Investigations and Support Services Section. During his career with the GCB, Deputy Chief Taylor has worked on numerous local and federal investigations and task forces involving sophisticated cheating devices, illegal bookmaking, drug trafficking, credit card fraud, money laundering, terrorism and major criminal organizations. James is a frequent speaker at conferences dealing with casino cheating and money laundering and has traveled throughout the US, Asia and South America giving presentations. Prior to working for the GCB, James was an investigator for the United States Office of Federal Investigations.
