Mr. Sowar serves as the National Tax Leader for the Health Care Provider sector at Deloitte. With over 31 years of professional service experience, Mr. Sowar’s clients are focused in the health care provider and health plan sectors. His areas of expertise include community benefit reporting, corporate structuring, unrelated business income, executive and physician compensation and the intermediate sanctions rules. Mr. Sowar also has extensive experience working with the IRS Exempt Organizations group with respect to IRS audits, controversies and exempt organization structuring.
