As The Emotional Investor, he helps others understand why we make those mistakes and learn correct perceptions so we can improve our future decisions.
Jay speaks at conferences around the world on the topic of investor behavior. His presentations are interactive and focus on the application of behavioral theory. He has created several tools for financial professionals to implement with their clients to help them 'coach' their clients. His book, The Emotional Investor, is a favorite among both financial advisors and the investing public.
Jay obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Jose State University and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota. He lives in St Paul, Minnesota with his wife, two children and two British Labs.
