Hydeh Ghaffari is a partner at DZH Phillips, nonprofit practice in Oakland, California. She has more than 30 years of experience as a financial manager and 25 years as a CPA, 22 of which were with nonprofit organizations. In addition to audits, reviews, and compilation of financial statements, she offers outsourced CFO services, consultations regarding assessment of accounting functions, including staffing, software, and internal controls; organizational and funding source budgeting, cash flow projection, single audit compliance and indirect cost rate proposals and negotiation.

Ms. Ghaffari taught at the University of San Francisco as an adjunct faculty member. She conducts financial management, grant management and auditing workshops locally and nationally to nonprofit organizations, their board members and staff of funding organizations including governmental agencies. She has been a regular speaker at AICPA National Nonprofit Conference for the past several years. Ms. Ghaffari was the Co-Chair of the California Nonprofit Conference and is on the planning committee of the AICPA National Nonprofit Conference.

Ms. Ghaffari served as the President of the board of directors of Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation and currently is on the board of directors of East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation. She has a master of business administration and a bachelor’s degree in auditing and is a member of CalCPA and the AICPA.
