Howard Freidin FSA EA FCA MAAA

Mr. Howard Freidin is a Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting LLP. He has been at Deloitte for 14 years, and has 38 years of overall actuarial experience with extensive experience serving clients in corporate benefit plans and audits of benefit plans, as well as all aspects of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including multi-employer and public sector plans and has also consulted on M&A and strategic planning. In addition, he also specializes in analyzing and consulting on change-in-control, including analyzing parachute payments (280G); actuarial and consulting services for all aspects of pension plan terminations; ESOP repurchase liability analysis; bankruptcy consulting relating to retirement plans; and actuarial and consulting advice concerning pension and postretirement health benefits under ASC 715.

He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in actuarial science and finance, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a frequent speaker at internal Deloitte trainings.
