Harshad is a director in the New York Transaction Services group of McGladrey (5th largest accounting firm in the USA) providing financial due diligence services to private equity investors and corporate acquirers including leveraged buyouts, public-to-private, cross border acquisitions, roll-ups, carve-outs and divestitures.
Harshad has over ten years of accounting and finance experience. For the past eight years, he has been focused on providing buy side due diligence services to both private equity and corporate clients in transactions of all sizes. Before joining McGladrey, he spent seven years with KPMG’s Transaction Advisory Services practice most recently as a Director. During his time at KPMG, he spent one and half year in KPMG India’s TAS practice focused on inbound cross-border deals in India for international buyers and large private equity groups. In addition, Harshad has worked with other large advisory firms, mainly providing financial and operational consulting services to portfolio companies of mid-market Private Equity funds.
Harshad advises clients on key financial analysis and transaction issues including quality and sustainability of earnings, debt and debt-like items, growth drivers, cost structure, trends impacting working capital, off-balance sheet exposure, realization of potential synergies, assessment of financial projections, analyzing acquisition agreements, and post-closing purchase price mechanisms.
Harshad has worked over 150 transactions during the last 8 years; more than 30 of those were cross-border M&A transactions (about 15 in India). In terms of industry expertise, Harshad specializes in Logistics & Transportation, Retail & Consumer Products and Media sectors.
Harshad is also part of the three member international committee of ACG New York Chapter (Association of Corporate Growth), a global organization focused on middle market M&A with 56 chapters and over 14,000 members around the world. ACG has chapters in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia and focuses on bringing dealmakers together to help them achieve their business and professional goals. Harshad is focused on increasing cross-border M&A activity and improve the connection across the ACG chapters worldwide as part of his role. In addition, Harshad is leading cross-border M&A activities for McGladrey, which is part of the RSM network (RSM is the 7th largest accounting firm worldwide with 32,000 employees in 700 offices and $4 B revenue).
