Harold Zeidman CPA

Retired Partner, KPMG LLP

Mr. Zeidman served as a partner in the Audit Group of KPMG LLP's Department of Professional Practice (DPP) for the last 12 years of his 39 years at KPMG and worked extensively on assurance matters. He assisted in the development of firm wide methodology tools as well as assisted engagement teams in resolving audit and assurance related technical matters. He also assisted in preparing KPMG responses to proposed auditing standards and has assisted in drafting such responses for the Center on Audit Quality.

Outside of KPMG, Mr. Zeidman:

  • Served as a member of the AICPA's XBRL Task Force
  • Served as a member of the AICPA's 2008 Audit Sampling Guide Task Force that revised the AICPA's Audit Sampling Guide and assisted with the 2012 update of that guide

Mr. Zeidman is a Certified Public Accountant and was with KPMG for over 39 years. Prior to joining DPP, he provided audit client services. Prior to joining KPMG, he received his MBA and BA degrees from the University of Chicago. Mr. Zeidman currently works as a consultant on assurance matters and instructed auditing classes at Arizona State University.
