Gwen G. Sherman CPA

Gwen is the Chief Operating Officer for North Forty, the family office of Jeff and Tricia Raikes who co-founded the Raikes Foundation in 2001. She oversees finance, legal, tax, human resources, real estate, and risk management for the family office and the co-located Raikes Foundation. Prior to her current role, she worked for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation serving in various finance and operational leadership capacities during her 15-year tenure, which included overseeing the design and construction of the Gates Foundation headquarters in downtown Seattle. Gwen served as a board member for many years of Foundation Finance Officers Group (FFOG), where she also chaired the administrative program committee that planned and delivered educational sessions for the organization’s semi-annual conferences. She began her career in public accounting and has also served in financial leadership roles for several non-profit organizations and local governments. Gwen plays handbells and is an avid rower.
