Gayatri is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s New York Office and a leader in our Pharmaceutical and Medical Products practice. Gayatri focuses on bringing digital and technology strategy and solutions to help companies fundamentally transform their operational performance and improve their competitive position. She has deep expertise helping healthcare and financial-services companies harness the power of technology to improve their business operations and competitive position. She serves a wide variety of organizations in developing, launching, and executing transformative change at the intersection of strategy, digital, and operations. Gayatri is also a passionate champion of women apprenticeship, mentorship and sponsorship initiatives and is a co-founder of the “Women In Technology & Operations” conference, which each year brings together about a hundred of the most influential female chief technology and operations executives in North America to network and invest in professional and personal development. Gayatri is also closely involved in McKinsey’s decade long research on women’s advancement and shares findings around all over North America. For example, she has moderated panels on this topic with the Clinton Foundation, United Nations and Empowerment 2020 in San Francisco, among others. She has consistently been voted one of the most outstanding mentors in the office. Prior to joining McKinsey, Gayatri worked for 6 years as an IT consultant in Tata Consultancy Services, Asia’s largest IT consulting company. Gayatri has an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she was a Forte Fellow.
