Frank H. Brod is corporate vice president, Finance and Administration, and chief accounting officer at Microsoft Corporation. In addition to his role as chief accounting officer, Brod is responsible for Global Procurement, Financial Operations and Systems, Customer Contracts, Global Security and Executive Protection, Real Estate and Facilities, Venture Integration, Finance Business Intelligence, and Global Tax Systems and Processes.

Before joining Microsoft, Brod served as corporate vice president and controller of The Dow Chemical Company.

Brod is a member of the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors for the State of Washington. He is also a member and past chairman of Financial Executives International’s Technical Committee on Corporate Reporting. Brod has participated in the Standards Advisory Council of the International Accounting Standards Board, and the Standards Advisory Committee of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. He is a past member of the FASB’s Emerging Issues Task Force and former Trustee and Secretary/Treasurer of the Financial Accounting Foundation which governs the US accounting standards setting process, including the FASB and GASB.

Brod holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Illinois Institute of Technology where he serves as a Trustee. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a recipient of the Sells Award of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Allred Award from the Texas Society of CPAs for professional excellence.
