Evlon is a member of the Forvis Mazars' Forensics & Valuation service line and the Financial Services Practice, with more than 18 years of experience providing business valuations for both tax planning and financial reporting purposes in accordance with
GAAP.
His valuation experience includes valuation analyses for purchase accounting, goodwill impairment, tax restructuring,
collateral support, and acquisition pricing, as well as providing strategic decision support related to transactions. Evlon has
significant experience valuing businesses, underlying intangible assets, liabilities, and financial instruments, including
equity and debt interests.
Evlon has broad valuation experience in several industries, with a focus on the f financial services sector, e.g., banking,
specialty finance, insurance, and asset management.
He has valued intangible assets including, but not limited to, customer relationships, independent broker relationships,
policy renewals, state licenses, trade names, internally developed software, non-compete agreements, core deposit
intangibles, purchased credit card relationships, mortgage servicing rights, and indemnification assets. In addition to
valuing equity interests in various financial service concerns, he has valued other financial instruments including, but not
limited to, loan portfolios, company debt, trust preferred securities, and FHLB Advances.
Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Evlon worked at an accounting firm’s economic and valuation services practice in Chicago
as well as in their department of professional practice in New York. He also worked at another accounting firm’s
transaction advisory services practice in Houston. Most recently, Evlon led an accounting firm’s valuation practice for
financial institutions and specialty finance companies. He has also worked within the commercial banking sector in the
Caribbean as a credit analyst and business banker, and in the United Kingdom.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential.
Evlon is a 2005 graduate of Rice University, Houston, Texas, with an M.B.A. degree in finance.
