Erin Bennett is a professional accounting fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA) at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Erin focuses primarily on technical accounting matters including business combinations, consolidation & equity method, and revenue recognition. Erin’s responsibilities include working with registrants and the Commission’s Division of Corporation Finance on consultation requests, collaborating with the Financial Accounting Standards Board staff on technical accounting matters and standard-setting initiatives as well as coordinating the Accounting Group’s international activities. Prior to joining the Commission in August 2018, Erin was a Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the accounting advisory practice. Erin earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Loyola University in Baltimore and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and New Jersey.
