Emily Wadhwani is a director in Fitch Ratings’ public finance healthcare group. She joined the healthcare group in 2009 and is responsible for leading the credit rating analysis for a portfolio of hospital and long-term care credits. Emily has worked in the healthcare industry since 2003 in various capacities including healthcare facilities consulting and clinical service line management responsibilities. Emily was previously a consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates Healthcare Facilities practice, assisting hospitals and health systems in strategic master planning activities. Additionally, some of Emily’s prior relevant experience includes work in the Office of Clinical Quality, Safety, and Performance Improvement at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, managing the self-pay account receivables group at Mary Greeley Medical Center, and managing the family health physician practice group at Chenango Memorial Hospital. Emily earned a BS in Health Administration & Policy from Creighton University, and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. She is board certified in health care management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, and Women in Public Finance.
