Durran Dunn CPA, CIA

Mr. Durran Dunn, CPA CIA has 16 years of leading experiences in internal audits, external audits, finance and accounting, for publicly traded and privately held companies. Durran work spans multiple industries including manufacturing, distribution, financial institutions, and construction with additional direct experience in a Big Four Public Accounting Firm and Fortune 500 companies.

Durran currently leads the internal audit & advisory activities at Graphic Packaging International. He supports the development of the enterprise risk assessments, creating the risk-based audit services plan, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls design and compliance reviews, operational processes and business strategic audits, and investigating Ethics Hotline. Durran also led activities associated with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annually financial reporting including SEC reporting and filings.

Prior to Graphic Packaging, Durran started his career public accounting at KPMG in external audit before working in internal audit and corporate accounting at companies that include Newell Rubbermaid and Turner Broadcasting.

Durran serves as a facilitator and instructor for the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) and was selected by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to inspire minorities to pursue the accounting profession through the “Real CPAs” program in a national campaign.

Durran is an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) where he serves as a National Director on the Board and Audit Committee Chair. Durran also serves on the Board of Directors for the RISE Charter Schools in Metro Atlanta where he served as the past Finance Chair.

Durran has served as speaker and panelists at for varied organizations and events and that most recently include the AICPA, Forest Products Accounting and Audit Conference and NABA regional conferences.

Durran earned his Bachelor’s in Administration in Accounting from The University of Southern Mississippi and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Atlanta Chapter.
