Douglas W. (Doug) Johnson is a certified public accountant and a retired Ernst & Young LLP audit partner since 2003. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Aflac Incorporated where he serves as chairman of the audit committee, and a member of the executive and compensation committees. He is also on the board of directors of CertusHoldings, (a bank holding company), where he serves as chairman of the audit committee and a member of the risk committee. Doug is a member of the board of trustees of Morehouse School of Medicine, where he serves on the audit committee and is chairman the finance and investment committee.
Doug began his career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in the financial area and joined Ernst & Young in 1968. He spent the majority of his career focusing primarily on the financial services industry. During his 30–year tenure with Ernst & Young and its predecessor firms, he was coordinating partner of several large multinational companies and for the firm’s largest American insurance client. His work experience includes extensive coordination with the audit committees of publicly-held companies.
Doug holds a bachelor of science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
