Doreen Griffith is the Managing Partner for Grant Thornton's California Market. As the California Managing Partner, Doreen sets the strategic direction for the offices (San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Irvine, San Diego and Sacramento), mentors and manages partners and staff, and ensures that the resources of Grant Thornton’s US and the member firms are made available to clients and staff. Previously, she was the National Managing Partner of Tax Services. In this role, she oversaw the quality of service offerings, and the profitable operations and welfare of the clients and employees of the core and specialty tax practices. Doreen has also served as a Tax Partner in Grant Thornton’s San Francisco office, the West Region Tax Practice Leader, and the Office Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Honolulu.
Doreen has extensive experience in the areas of tax consulting, structuring and compliance. She has federal and state tax experience for corporations, individuals, partnerships and bankruptcy estates. Doreen primary industry of focus is technology and manufacturing.
Doreen received her Bachelor of Science degree
in Accounting, summa cum laude, at Louisiana Tech University.
She is the Former Chairman of the Hawaii State Board of Public Accountancy and is a member of the California State Society of CPAs and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
