Director of Internal Audit, Triangle Petrolium Corporation
Mr. Mapes has over twenty years of internal audit experience, nine of these in the E&P industry. During this time, he has performed financial, operational and information systems audits. Prior to his career in internal audit, he worked in operational positions for the Utilities and in accounting for Gas pipeline transportation. Currently, he is the Director of Internal Audit for Triangle Petroleum Corporation, and serves in a volunteer capacity as the Information Systems Audit & Control Association Denver Chapter President. In the past, he was the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Denver Chapter.
Mr. Mapes holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs; and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Auditor, as well as holding a Certification in Risk Management and Assurance.
