Dr. Derick Dreher
Government Funding Dept. Leader, Your Part-Time Controller, LLC
Derick Dreher joined YPTC in August 2022 and leads its new Government Fundraising Department. From 1998 to 2021, he served as the Director of the Rosenbach Museum & Library in Philadelphia, where among other things he completed a $10 million capital campaign in 2001, endowed three positions, and oversaw interactive programs inspired by extraordinary and growing holdings of rare books and manuscripts. From 2017 on, Dr. Dreher also served as VP of Special Collections at the Free Library of Philadelphia, the Rosenbach's formal partner. Dr. Dreher studied art history at Princeton and then Yale, where received a Ph.D. for his thesis on German old master drawings. Dr. Dreher has served on multiple boards, including the Independence Foundation (since 2015), a grant-maker based in Philadelphia. Dr. Dreher lives in Philadelphia with his wife and son.
