David Tohn is the Director of Cyber Products Strategic Partnering at CyberPoint International, LLC, headquartered on Pier V in the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD. David focuses on connecting CyberPoint’s advanced products, tools, and technology with the industry-leading strategic partners who combat advanced malware at scale on a daily basis. David’s strength is as a strong verbal and written communicator adept at bridging technical and operational communities.
As a retired a career Army officer of 24 years, David has broad and deep experience in full-spectrum cyber security. His last assignments included: Afghanistan Mission Manager for the National Security Agency; Special Intelligence Advisor to the Theater Commander – Afghanistan; Senior Intelligence Planner for the Multinational Forces – Iraq; and Commander, 743rd Military Intelligence Battalion.
David’s publications include authoring and coauthoring several professional articles ("Learning Under Fire: Progress and Dissent in the US Military" - Survival, "Pakistan’s New Deal," " Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and "Information Sharing Program: Formal Information Sharing Between and Among NGOs and Governments – A Conversation Starter" - Monday Developments). He authored several Op-eds (""But Mom, I Don’t Want to be a Jihadist” - Miami Herald, and "Digital Trench Warfare" - Boston Globe). He was the lead researcher and primary coauthor of the Army’s official history of Operation Iraqi Freedom, “On Point: The United States Army in Operation Iraqi Freedom.”
