David W. Stevens CPA

David is the state and local tax director at HORNE LLP. With more than 23 years of tax experience, he has worked for two international firms and managed a private state tax consulting practice. He is a former director of a state tax commission's sales tax division. He specializes in income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, business incentives and state credits, unclaimed property, and advocacy/controversy matters. David serves a number of clients in the construction, financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, healthcare, transportation, and energy and technology industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a frequent speaker at seminars and education events on the topics of state and local taxation issues and planning.
