David A. Kovar, Ph.D. is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Management Consulting Leader at Abaci LLC providing innovative accounting technology leadership. He combines his deep knowledge of IT with a clear understanding of business strategy and refined organizational instincts to drive technology optimization and operational management leadership initiatives. Prior to Abaci, David was a Partner/Principal at EY and held various client facing and technology leadership roles at PwC, Deloitte and Andersen.
David is a Six Sigma Greenbelt and has his Ph.D. in MR Physics and A.B. in Physics both from The University of Chicago. He sits on the AICPA Accounting Information and Management (AIOM) Task Force, the AICPA Privacy Task Force, and has recently been named to the IMTA executive committee.
