Project Leader - Financial Integrity , Social Security Administration

As a Senior Project Leader, David Frakes brings more than two decades of leadership and financial management experience to the Social Security Administration. Mr. Frakes also serves as an advisor to the agency’s Senior Assessment Team (SAT) Chair. The SAT assists SSA senior management to implement and oversee the execution of the internal control framework required by the GAO’s Green Book and Circular A-123, and fosters an organizational environment and structure that supports continuous awareness of internal control. Mr. Frakes, in his role as the Senior Project Leader in the Office of Financial Policy and Integrity, has led a team responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of agency policies, procedures and programs for financial integrity and internal control, including compliance with the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government, Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act, and relevant Office of Management and Budget guidance. Mr. Frakes is a career employee of the Social Security Administration and has held a number of positions with a focus on financial management and internal control. Mr. Frakes received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He lives with his wife, Monica, and three children in Harford County, Maryland
