Darlene Bayardo

Darlene Bayardo is the founder of Bayardo Accounting and Consulting, PC, with nearly 30 years of experience in both national public accounting firms and private industry. She collaborates with accounting firms across the country to strengthen the quality and compliance of their employee benefit plan (EBP) audit practices. 

Darlene’s work centers on enhancing audit quality and managing risk through technical consultations, in-depth quality reviews, and the development of customized training, guidance, and resources. She also works directly with plan sponsors to prepare accurate, compliant financial statements in accordance with ERISA and relevant accounting standards.

Darlene is a frequent speaker on technical EBP topics. She has presented at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) EBP Conferences, as well as various state-level conferences. She is actively involved with the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, where she presents at the annual EBP conference and serves on the planning committee. Darlene currently serves on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center Executive Committee. Her previous leadership roles include serving on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Expert Panel and the Technical Standards Subcommittee of the AICPA’s Professional Ethics Executive Committee.
