Dale Baker CPA, FHFMA

Dale E. Baker, CPA, FHFMA, is the President of Baker Healthcare Consulting, Inc. (BHC) an Indianapolis based consulting firm serving over 2000 acute care hospital clients and thirty hospital associations in forty-four states since 1990. BHC specializes in advising clients on Medicare payment strategies such as geographic reclassification and wage index matters. With legal counsel, Dale organized numerous Medicare group appeals. In June 2012, BHC and two law firms settled with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) the largest settlement in the history of the Medicare program on behalf of over 1,500 hospitals. A subsequent settlement increased payment for approximately 450 additional hospitals for the same issue. Dale presently serves on the University of Iowa Foundation Board, which is the fundraising board for the University. Dale is a frequent speaker at state, regional and national conferences. Also, he is a registered federal lobbyist.
He has chaired the Board of the 54,000 member University of Iowa Alumni Association and served on the Board of Visitors for the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business. The University of Iowa has recognized Mr. Baker as the Outstanding Accounting Alumnus in 2008. Dale and his wife, Linda, participated in a People to People exchange sponsored by the Healthcare Financial Management Association to Russia in September 2008. They have lived in Golden, CO for over thirty three years.
Dale and Linda are receiving the University of Iowa distinguished Alumni Award in June 2016.
