Chris Ekimoff is a Director at Resolution Economics LLC, an economics, statistics, forensic accounting and economic damages consulting firm with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, and New York. Prior to Resolution Economics, Mr. Ekimoff was a Director in the Forensic Litigation & Consulting practice at FTI Consulting. Previously, he led the Investigations & Analytics group for the Internal Audit Department at Hilton Worldwide, and has also held positions with Duff & Phelps, LLC, and Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP.
During his career as a forensic accountant and litigation consultant, Mr. Ekimoff has led engagements regarding SEC financial reporting matters, public company restatements, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations and corporate compliance. Additionally, he has overseen the development and implementation of fraud risk management programs, as well as the performance of internal investigations, at companies in the financial services, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, and technology industries. Mr. Ekimoff has contributed to matters including revenue recognition issues, audit malpractice claims, alleged SEC reporting violations, complex GAAP accounting policy issues, whistleblower allegations, and mortgage-backed securities litigation.
Mr. Ekimoff received his MBA with a concentration in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and an active speaker and volunteer with the AICPA, the Virginia Society of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and the National Association of Certifiers and Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
