As a forensic accountant providing litigation support and investigative services for eighteen years, Christine is retained to investigate suspected misappropriation of company assets at nonprofits and businesses. In this capacity, she quantifies the loss to the company, presents evidence that identifies the wrongdoer, prepares required written reports for the Board and insurance carriers, and communicates with law enforcement authorities. Christine is retained as a consulting and testifying financial expert in matters involving claims of economic damages and other complex business disputes having provided expert testimony by deposition and at trial. She has also opined and testified regarding a partys ability to pay punitive damages. As a consulting expert on several high-profile securities matters, Christine has authored or co-authored expert reports based on her evaluation and investigation of alleged violations of accounting rules, auditing rules, PCAOB standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC rules and regulations. Similarly, she has worked on matters for regulatory agencies, including the SEC and the FDIC. As a valuation practitioner, she performs valuations of businesses and business interests. Christine is the practice leader for the litigation support and forensic accounting services group at DZH Phillips, the 15th largest CPA firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been an accounting professional for over twenty years and is a CPA actively licensed in California and New York. She holds the Certified in Financial Forensics credential and is a Certified Valuation Analyst. She is on the Board of United Policyholders, a nonprofit organization that serves as a voice and information resource for insured families and business owners by bringing about successful claim settlements after illnesses or disasters. She contributes her time to her community by speaking to various audiences and writing published articles on financial accounting, forensic accounting, economic damages, business ethics and fraud schemes. Christine has been married for 25 years and is the proud mother of two daughters who recently graduated from college.
