Chris DeBlanc, CPA/PFS, CFP® is a Partner in the Tax practice at Cherry Bekaert and a Private Client Service (PCS) Tax Partner based in the firm’s Tysons Corner, Virginia office. He delivers tailored tax strategies and advisory services to high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses, helping clients align complex tax planning with their broader financial and personal objectives.
With deep experience in private client tax planning, Chris advises on sophisticated income, estate, and gift tax matters, trust and entity structuring, business transitions, and multigenerational wealth planning. He is known for providing practical, forward‑looking solutions that balance technical rigor with clarity, while maintaining compliance in an evolving tax landscape. Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Chris bought, built, and successfully sold a CPA firm, giving him first‑hand insight into the operational, tax, and strategic challenges faced by business owners and entrepreneurs.
Before his career in public accounting, Chris served four years in the United States Marine Corps, where he led 26 infantry Marines during the largest urban ground combat operation in Marine Corps history (The Second Battle of Fallujah). He later spent two years in Iraq as a contractor for the U.S. State Department. This background instilled a disciplined, mission‑focused approach and a strong leadership foundation that informs his work as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex financial decisions. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®).
