Charles A. Vice

On January 3, 2023, the National Credit Union Administration named Charles Vice as the Director of Financial Technology and Access. Mr. Vice serves as the principal advisor to the NCUA Board on agency policy with respect to fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, and distributed ledger technology.

Charles previously worked for the FDIC (1990-2008), and he served as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions (2008-2022). He also served as treasurer of the NASCUS and Chair of the CSBS. Mr. Vice holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Southern Mississippi. He lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his spouse, Julia Vice. They have three children and four grandchildren.
