Chief Executive Officer, New York State Society of CPAs
Calvin Harris Jr., CPA serves as Chief Executive Officer of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYCPA), one of the nation's largest and most influential state CPA societies, and its affiliated entities - the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) and the Moynihan Scholarship Fund (MSF) - headquartered in New York City.
In addition to his executive leadership role, Calvin serves as an adjunct professor at Marist University, where he teaches Current Issues in Accounting. Named one of Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting multiple times, Calvin is widely recognized as a leading voice on accounting education, workforce development, diversity and inclusion, and the future of the profession. He previously served as the 24th Chairman and National President of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants) and serves on the Board of DC Doors, a nonprofit focused on housing and career access.
Calvin began his career at Arthur Andersen and has since held leadership roles across public accounting, nonprofit, and public sector organizations. He holds a CPA license in both New York and Maryland and is a proud graduate of Morehouse College. His work and commentary have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CFO, Inc., and Black Enterprise.
Outside the office, Calvin is an avid long-distance runner and four-time NYC Marathon finisher.
