Bryan Jonasson

Acting Chief Accountant, FDIC

Bryan Jonasson is the Acting Chief Accountant for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Division of Risk Management Supervision.  In this position, he supervises, coordinates, and leads in the development of projects involving accounting, auditing, tax, securities disclosure, regulatory reporting, training initiatives, and examination support matters relevant to depository institutions. Bryan assists in identifying emerging issues and leads in the review of accounting for specific transactions at FDIC supervised and insured institutions. Previously, he has served in roles including Deputy Chief Accountant, Section Chief, and Senior Examination Specialist in the FDIC's Washington DC headquarters office; Regional Accountant in the FDIC’s New York Region; and a commissioned examiner in the FDIC’s Boston, Massachusetts and Tampa, Florida field offices.  

Instructional experience includes lecturing at FDIC and banking seminars. These seminars address primarily accounting and regulatory issues.

Bryan is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of CPAs.  Mr. Jonasson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Florida, and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Wharton Leadership Program.
