Brian currently serves as the Executive Director of Financial Evaluations and Reporting at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). AHIP is the national trade association representing the health insurance industry. Brian received his BS in accounting from West Virginia University and earned his MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. In his current role at AHIP, Brian oversees all external financial and tax reporting for the association and related foundation. He also reviews, analyzes,and provides recommendations on all new and existing business development activities. Brian is a member of the AICPA, the American Society of Association Executives, the Virginia Society of CPAs, and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and also serves on the AIPCA Not-for-Profit Expert Panel. Prior to joining AHIP, Brian served as the Controller for The Optical Society (OSA), an international individual membership organization with more than 18,500 members in the fields of optics and photonics. Before his time at AHIP and OSA, Brian was a Senior Manager at CohnReznick, LLP, in the not-for-profit practice group. His clients included for-profit commercial businesses and not-for-profit clients, including social clubs, foundations, trade associations, membership organizations and charities. Brian is also a founding board member and past Treasurer of Hero Dogs, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the training and placement of service dogs with disabled veterans.
