Beverly Katz J.D.

Bev Katz is a Director in the Passthroughs Group for KPMG’s Washington National Tax Practice. She focuses on the federal taxation of partnerships and also advises on the specialty area of like-kind exchanges. Prior to joining KPMG in 2013, Bev was with the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel for 15 years. Most recently, she spent six years as Special Counsel to the Associate Chief Counsel (Passthroughs & Special Industries). While at the IRS, Bev worked extensively on regulations and other guidance regarding partnership tax issues. Prior to joining the Office of Chief Counsel, she litigated tax matters across the country with the Department of Justice, Tax Division.
