Dr. Barbara Mackoff, a consulting psychologist, leadership educator and executive coach, is a widely acclaimed expert in understanding the way leaders think—as well as creating resilience in responding to the demands of change. She is the director of The Leadership Laboratory at NYU Medical Center and her bold approach to leadership is in demand by organizations around the world including IBM, AT&T, PepsiCo, Boeing, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, Nintendo,Yurekli/Turkey, Telecom Argentina and The Dublin City Council. Educated at Harvard University, Dr. Mackoff is the author of six books that have been published in five languages including The Inner Work of Leaders: Leadership as a Habit of Mind and a forthcoming new book, Don’t come back from Hell Empty-handed. Dr. Mackoff’s perspectives on leadership and productivity have been featured on The Today Show, CBS Morning News, and All Things Considered and her work has been profiled in The New York Times, USA Today and The Washington Post.
