Since joining Sensiba in 2022, Arelle Oberlander (she/they) has focused significant time on building out the Sustainability Department’s High-Level ESG Assessment service, leveraging international standards such as those from the ISSB and ESRS. Significant industries served include Food & Beverage, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Construction, and Tech clients. 

A skilled and enthusiastic communicator, Arelle enjoys highlighting the connection between sustainability topics and tangible business opportunities within various industries. As a team member on consulting projects, Arelle translates recommendations into tactical implementation plans and supports strategic planning to integrate sustainability practices across business units.

Before joining Sensiba, Arelle served as a member of the volunteer team at The Change Climate Project, where they helped brands calculate their carbon footprints and develop emissions reduction action plans. As a graduate of the Sustainable Innovation MBA program at the University of Vermont, Arelle co-founded the Community Action Team, which helped pass a mandatory rental weatherization policy in the city of Burlington. 

Arelle earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California in 2011 and spent eight years pursuing a career as an operatic soprano. Arelle brings a holistic and creative lens to their work and is deeply motivated to support companies in embedding sustainability and climate justice principles throughout their organizations.
