Amy Beert

Amy Beert is a Tax Director with the Global Human Resource Services (GHRS) practice in Dallas, TX. Amy joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000 and is an experienced consulting actuary assisting clients with the actuarial valuation, design, and administration of their defined benefit plans, including the application of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Internal Revenue Code ("IRC"). Her experiences include: tradition defined benefit valuation for determining required funding limits, plan design, accounting under US GAAP and IFRS, collective bargaining negotiations, and merger and acquisition due diligence. In addition to defined benefit plans, Amy also has experience assisting clients with understanding their exposure to multiemployer programs, including withdrawal liability analysis, and valuation and design for postretirement medical and life plans, including accounting and tax deductible contributions to the plan under IRC. Amy graduated from the University of Iowa where she received a BA in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. Amy is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
