Amanda Adams is the Leader of Citrin Cooperman’s Not-For-Profit Tax Practice. Amanda is an experienced professional with over 20 years providing tax compliance services to not-for-profit organizations throughout their life cycle, including preparation and review of Forms 990, 990-PF, 990-T, and applications for exempt status.

Amanda has experience providing tax services to a wide variety of not-for-profit entities, including human service organizations, foundations, trade associations, colleges and universities, museums, religious organizations, social clubs, and other 501(c)(3) organizations. Her specific areas of expertise include creation of not-for-profit organizations; private foundation excise tax compliance; public charity status redeterminations and guidance; and review, analysis, and planning related to unrelated business income. Amanda communicates regularly with clients regarding the latest industry trends through continuous monitoring of legislative and regulatory developments. She is also the author of numerous newsletter and journal articles and a frequent speaker at various not-for-profit seminars.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Amanda was the National Leader of Not-for-Profit Tax Services at Cherry Bekaert for six years. In addition, she spent fourteen years at a boutique firm in Houston which specializes in providing tax and audit services to not-for-profit organizations.
